I am picking up sales but this just had a printed label on the pot and I am sure it is not the plant's name. It said thickseed.

Loved the color so I brought it because it is said to be perennial. I trust that statement because this nursery is good at making sure plants the sell are hardy for my area.

Any idea what this is?

tickseed is a common name for some coreopsis, your plant appears to be a coreopsis

Thanks JoAnn how long have you had your plant? I take it is hardy. Does it reseed? I have a lot of questions. LOL

I planted it in the driveway bed that is dry and I seem to be having a lot of trouble keeping plants alive in this area and I have put a lot of compost to make the soil better. I am wondering if there is something under the ground in this area that is sucking the nutrients out of the soil.

I am always suspicious of driveways. We use salt on our highways and with other chemicals I think they get deposited where people park.

I dont believe the Sienna Sunset reseeds but sends runners underground.Divide every few years
