This species of gardenia has a very different odor than the regular gardenias and it has a different bloom of course. Blooming just now it helps me forget their are many 8 ft. piles of snow in the barnyard left over from our two Nor'easters we had this month.

Jacquie: Beautiful bloom! How wonderful to have those fragrant blooms so early in the year! I have two huge Gardenia bushes planted in the yard and in another couple of weeks I should be seeing thousands of blooms and smelling the wonderful fragrance! I've never tried growing a Gardenia as an indoor or container plant, I might have to give it a try!
