Good to hear, Michele and Fred. Mamajack's co-op partner is in SW Louisiana. Think she will be okay, but she's gonna get wet. Big Grin

Hi Fred, so glad to hear both you and Michele are safe. I was also worried about your newly planted seedlings with possible storm surge, but it sounds like you-all are just at the edge of all the chaos.

Tom, there are two things you need to keep in mind when suggesting names:

1. The name (without the "Lillian's") cannot have been registered by someone else. You can check your names by getting into the AHS website and selecting "Daylily Database Online" and then typing out your suggestion and doing a search to see if the name is already there. But you must leave off the "Lillian's" part when you do that.

http://www.daylilies.org/

2. The name cannot be more than 30 characters long, including spaces between words and punctuation marks. The name "Lillian's" plus the space following is 10 characters, which leaves you just 20 to work with.

Oh yes, and Fred usually gives direction at the top that the name should have something to do with the flower, colors, etc. -- what you are looking at. But we all seem to ignore that and just have fun!

Well, last night was a 2 Miller Lite night, so I wasn't counting or checking names, lol. Oh well, it was fun. It's like coming up with names to regiser my horses, we can have 21 letters and spaces, and can't have been used before. Sometime it gets hectic.
Politicians are like diapers, they need to be changed often, and for the same reason.

It's educational as well. Learned some things unknown to me
in looking for suitable names. Of course, there's lots of things
I don't know. Blinking

Good to know you guys are okay during the storm. We have
been checking Issac's track and strength.

Some people add a name in front of the main name such as LILLIAN'S or COACH'S or BUDDY'S so that an already taken name can be used.
Fred DOESN'T do this but he could if there was a name that he really wanted and it was taken. Ex: WILD and WONDERFUL and then there is BUDDY'S WILD and WONDERFUL or HOT LIPS and COACH'S HOT LIPS.

Shirlee, we actually have gotten a whole lot less rain than was predicted and the wind hasn't been too bad. We were supposed to have 100% rain today but got very little if any, it's just been yucky out. And the wind has been between 12 and 25 mph off and on. We never lost power so that was good.

That's great to hear Michele. Looking at the radar image, I
thought it might be worse. That storm seemed to be
so slow moving.

I have a watch that's digital so I will always know what day it is. I tried a "pretty" one, but I never knew the day or date so I went back to my Timex.

Then the wonderful love of my PC always having the day handy.

Ok, now I have 2 very handy ways to know what day of the week it, and I still get it wrong.

Seems like I heard something along the line, probably from my daughter, that the first question she's asks her EMT patients "Do you know what day of the it is??" HMMMMMM, I'm in trouble if I cant grab my PC or read my watch. They'll start treating my for a stroke or something serious. I'll just have to tell them, "Well, if you don't know, then you're asking the wrong person!" Big Grin

Betty, I understand. I have been off a day since Tuesday. My schedule changed and I have been a day ahead ever since. It really has been nice because it seems that I have had an extra day to work outside this week. Now, Labor Day is coming and I'll be off a day all next week.
