I know what you mean about the "minimum" order requirements. I'm kinda glad it happened for me since I picked up a few more with Schreiner's. However, if they didn't have all the ones I was looking for, I'd have backed off and just waited.

Looks like you've got some real beauties coming. Lovey dubby

Betty -- I couldn't find a way to email Barbara personally, but I did send an email through their website to Customer Service. I directed it to Mrs. Aitken's attention, so I hope it goes where it needs to go. And I did advise them/her that *Gypsy Lord* and *Code Red* are the important Irises in the order, and that the others were to "fill the box". I'll let you know what I hear from them. Thanks again for the suggestion.

What, and miss the next bloom season?? Besides, it looks like you're going to be dreanched in some of Isaac's waters soon. Got your boat ready?

Oh -- I hope so Tom -- it can't help the crops that are already destroyed, but it can help the trees. And the pastures, ponds, creeks, etc. And can provide the moisture needed for planting winter wheat.

No boat -- but I've got my waders ready!! nodding

Speaking of water -- last night, instead of digging, I spent the time soaking the area that I'm working on. That should make the going much easier today!!

Ozark Rebounder
Paul Black
Spice Lord

and the whole reason for the order

Encore Lady

That was a "MUST HAVE" for my growing Joan Roberts collection.

Well -- I haven't heard from Aitken's that they DON'T have Gypsy Lord -- so even though I haven't received word of shipment yet, I'm anticipating that they'll ship the order complete!! Hurray!

I got my order yesterday. I found out today that it arrived. It's like Christmas morning when your 5 or 6. I have already planted them. The rhizome for "obsidian" was massive. Sorry, but I took no pictures as I needed to get them in the ground and scoot off to work. So what did I get?

Three "Lords" and two "Ladies"

(Paul Black, Spice Lord, Gypsy Lord & 2 "Encore Lady"s)

Bubble Bubble
Code Red
Obsidian
Ozark Rebounder

Greg you have to use a picture of one of Sterling's irises instead of the acorn they put in. As soon as it appeared I got my SDB up instead. Glad that you got the plants that you wanted.

Betty -- Greg's the one who got *Gypsy Lord* and *Encore Lady*. I also got *Gypsy Lord* and *Spice Lord* -- but no ladies for me this time. In addition to those two, I got *Beach Dance*, *Code Red*, *Dance Recital*, and *LaScala*. *Pirate Ahoy* and *Resonance* were sent as bonus plants, which made me VERY happy!! I'm delighted with the whole order!!

In addition to the Aitken order, I have an order here from Snowpeak, and a box of trade Irises from Tom that are waiting to be planted. Besides which, I *participated* in the PNW sale and have another half-dozen Irises coming from them. So I'm in the process of making labels and clearing the beds where these Irises will go.

It's going to be awesome around here next Spring!! :hurray:

P.S. You're right -- that *Encore Lady* IS a beaut!!

Greg -- it IS like Christmas morning, isn't it? Only Iris Addicts would understand this!!

Interesting that we ordered three alike -- *Gypsy Lord*, *Spice Lord* and *Code Red*. I would have ordered *Bubble Bubble* as well, if I weren't buying any new Irises this year! Whistling

On another note -- *Paul Black* was included in the box of trade Irises that I got from Tom. So that's new one for me this year too!! Thumbs up

We will have to compare photos next Spring!

I can't believe I did that! So sorry Mary Ann and Greg! I was probably in a rush and saw Mary Ann on her horse and then my eyes zipped down to the listing of plants and I just managed to block out everything in between. Unfortunately, my eyes are like that! Rolling my eyes. Hilarious!
