I posted on the Houseplant site but posting here because it has to do with propagation. The leaves I have set in perlite/potting soil seem to be rotting away after only 2 days. I followed the instructions on a website. Anyone familiar with leaf propagating Rex begonia?

They don't look too bad to me. It's been a few days, how's it going?

I never had any luck trying to root begonia leaves either. Bet that layer of perlite in the Martha Stewart article helps to keep things moist without overwatering. The article also doesn't show covering them. Seems like begonias would just as soon rot as look at you.
