I have been in love with translucent Haworthia plants since I bought my first H. retusa years ago.

Now I have more and hope to get more.

This H. cooperi variegata was very stretched when I got it around Christmas. I don't know how long it will take to be compact again.

No strong opinion on haworthia if i had to be honest.
I think truncata is cool on its own, but i never had that one.
While i had other(cooperii and retusa), none of them ended up being interesting to me(especially not in sub standard lighting).
If i had to pick my favourite haworthia(or haw-opsis) , it would be either attenuata or venosa

I love them, they easily form a good mounding specimen cluster Lovey dubby I have to position them in part sun/shade, especially when the long hot and dry period comes around, so they do not get dry roasted.

Here is mine:
Haworthia cuspidata, used to have them in a shallow pastry container in 2017, eventually had to be repotted to another container since that container broke apart
Thumb of 2020-03-30/tarev/afaee9
Currently in this container, a very tight mound:

Tarev, haworthias are thriving under your capable care!

Skopje and Baja, I found lighting for venosa is really tricky. Baja, I really envy the clear veins on yours.

I got my Haworthia truncata var. maughanii as bare rooted plants about two years.

Some articles suggest that it would take 7-10 years to develop mature veins on the leaf window. I am waiting.

My plant is in 50% shade with some afternoon sun. Hours of direct (outdoor) sun.

This one is a house plant (very bright SW exposure) in an 8 inch pot. It was last broken up 6 years ago and flowers continuously year round.

For the curious, here are all the windowed Haworthias that I've tagged in the database. If you have any names to add, please let me know.

Wish we did a mammillaria database like that. Maybe for other succulents/cacti as well...

I've got a truncata hybrid and a viscosa right now (sorry, no pictures at the moment). I'm not planning to put them outside though; I haven't much shade and I don't think they can handle the intense sun at this altitude (6200 ft). So they'll have to make do in my south or west window!

That sounds perfect. Thumbs up

This one is outside. A lot of nice texture on the leaves (zoom from the same photo).
