I agree I'm with you two, I just love all the Brassavola crosses. Such graceful flower forms.

I'm wondering if those rosy petals will change to yellow like some of my Brassies do. I'm sure Jim will update us.

Hope he's still got his head above water - they've been getting more rain since yesterday. We haven't had a drop yet - but I can see the dark clouds from here!

Checked the cage, everything looks freshly scrubbed! Smiling
We had a doozy of a storm coming through here yesterday evening. It was as the sky just opened up and we had some really strong wind gusts with that. The greenhouse ceiling will not need cleaning this year. Thumbs up And I was happy, since it was watertight. Today the humidity is down, it is sunny and very pleasant!
Next week I will start bring my plants back inside....

Already Ursula? seems like they just went out...
Jim your B. nodosa X C. netrasiri 'waxy' is beautiful...is that a new plant for you?
I've got a couple of new flowers this weekend. These 2 had 3 buds each and
the first 2 on each were badly damaged by slugs, I'm guessing. The third buds
opened beautifully!

Nice Catts, Lindsey and nice to see you hace insect patrol in place and alert.

As I type this, it is pouring rain. I was bounced out of bed by loud thunder claps and pounding rain ar 4:30 this morning and it just kept coming. I drove to church in the rain and came home in the rain and took a nap in the rain. I'm sure the back yard is once again a swamp. This has been one incredible wet season. I'm sure I would be fighting major root rot if it were not for the new OC.

I discovered a bloom on Brassavola cucullata today. So delicate.

Lindsey, they are both beautiful and that little Anole ( ?) is adorable.

Jim, looking good!

I just posted pictures of a slope contained a couple thousand plants of Spiranthes cernua here
The thread "Spiranthes cernua on rt 380 towards Scranton" in Orchids forum

Our place has some nice Spiranthes spikes here and there, but not anywhere near the density of that on that highway slope.

In the meanwhile at home -
my Encyclia brassavolae has a bunch of nice spikes, the first two are open.

Thanks Kathy! Smiling I am waiting for more spikes to open on that Enc brassavolae, hopefully they are timed together. The blooms smell mainly like Carnations in the evening. Btw the wire-basket it is planted in is only for "show", that plant walked almost totally out of it and the roots are now hanging free. It is essentially mounted.

I'm loving Encyclia brassavolae. Beautiful flowers and a great looking plant. I'll have to add that one to my wish list.

Out in the OC, C. Lueddemanniana, var. alba X self is beginning to open:

Thanks, guys. The difference in the two pictures of the Golden Tang is the first was taken in the sun, the second in the shade.

I hope you like the pictures of this little NOID Dendrobium. I bought it for $4.00 in Apopka when I was there with Elaine so it may not be a blue blood but I love the colors. It just opened the first blooms today.
