Does White Stripe need to have the green and white foliage separated from the solid green, or should they just grow together?

I have never grown it, so am not sure.

However, with other vaiagated plants, you remove any plain color foliage.

Shrug!

Thought I would bump this post up. I still haven't seen this one bloom, and in the database it doesn't say anything about variegated foliage. Anyone here grow this?

I rarely saw variegation in WS so the occaisional variegated foliage with the non was fine and green never removed.

EDITED TO ADD: It reminded me of one of the stippled cv's which only bloomed a solid color. See next reply by Bearsearch.

I have a variegated Kwanso and had two clumps. One clump is still variegated the other is no more. In my experience it is best to remove the plain green growths as they grow much stronger and faster than the variegated plants and will eventually take over. This is a crappy photo of another daylily I had that had a thin white line much like White stripe. It too has completely lost the variegation to the more robust plain green foliage. Please excuse the weeds!
