No, that's wrong. The species name is aquilegiifolium, with 4 "i's." I've already had to delete T. aquilegifolium twice, but someone keeps adding it back.
And here's the ITIS page, showing that T. aquilegiifolium is the accepted name and T. aquilegifolium is an "orthographic variant," which is a polite term for misspelling.
I don't think so, because its status is known. It's a misspelling. We really need that "Also sold as" line. Most of the vendors call it by the wrong name.

I cannot BELIEVE what I learn on this site! I would never in a million years have guessed two ii's between the g and f! It took me years to figure out how to pronounce the crazy "ii" at the end of some species names that include a proper name, as in Picea wilsonii. Heaven help us - the taxonomists have gone mad! Or is that madii?

I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown
