I got some seeds from several vendors this past February, and 2 of them are blooming today! These particular ones are mixed seedlings from Florida. I purchased some from 2 Singapore vendors as well, and they are just as large as these....some much larger, but none of the Singapore seedlings have buds yet. I am excited! My first adenium flowers from seeds to maturity!

those are beautiful blooms. Congrats! What are you feeding them? I can't get my seedlings to bloom. I know that I need to fertilize them more often.

I fed them Peters bloom busters occasionally, and also had read where they respond well to Osmocots and used that also.. My Singapore seedlngs are from double blooms, and it would be nice if some doubles would emerge.I am crossing my fingers !

Did you snip them at all?? Or did they bloom from the first growth?

Thank you everyone for your comments. I did not prune them at all. The red one was grown in a larger pot, and the plant itself grew larger. The pink one is still in small pot. Here is a photo of the rest I am waiting to bloom. They begin getting full sun around 11am until the rest of the day. My plumerias are also in full sun about the same period of time. Our temps are predicted to push possibly over 100 this week, until a "cool" front on Saturday. I am thinking about moving them into a different location while I am off work today, to keep them from stressing. Do you think that would be necessary?

Why move them if they are doinf so well where they are?

My thought was the heat....it hasn't been this hot since early Spring when we had a week or so of temps above 100. I do plan to leave them the way they are though....10 or 15 more degrees warmer should not make too much of an impact as long as stay on the water....possibly twice per day. Some of the clay pots are very small. Does it get that warm in the Virgin Islands?

I don't think you have to move them. My adeniums are in afternoon sun here in Phoenix where it is routinely over 100 degrees for months.

Thank you. They are young (one season), but have been out in the elements since Spring. A couple of times they lost some leaves, which turned yellow and dropped off, and I lost a couple of I guess inferior plants,, but now those remaining are very healthy looking. I am anxious to see some more bloom before it turns cold. I hope some do come around.

Pat, I would MELT in 100 degree heat! Never much higher than 94 here, and that's blazing hot. Tho there's always a nice cooling breeze, and humidity nice too, at about 60%.

Post new blooms when you get them, isn't it fun!
