Well, for some of us, the end is near. For others, it never ends. Must be nice. Big Grin

The mountains got about 2-4" of snow last night. This up coming week the temps are to be dropping into the 20s. Guess it was nice while it lasted. So, on my drive into work, I took some pics of the new snow on the mountains. It's overcast, so couldn't get any sunshine pics. Word of advice. If you're driving and taking pictures at the same time, and then you use the zoom function on your camera to take a closer shot of something, the car in front of you isn't slowing down dramatically, so you don't have to slam on your brakes. Seriously. *Blush* *Blush* *Blush*

Then, caught this flight of geese as they're heading south.

PPal - Luckily, no one was behind me. Otherwise, I might have! I need to be more cautious on taking pics while driving. LOL!!

I have enough trouble driving and staying awake at the same time! Taking photos requires full attention on my part.

Cloudy weather and rain can mark the approach of winter here, too. It rained on a recent trip to Sedona.

Had to get out of the car to take those. Even though I wasn't driving.

Another sign that the end is near is that the big dahlias bloom.

Fantaste du Cape. Had to buy them in lots of 25 of them last spring.

I love dahlias.. but I don't like that they're annuals. I'm not one for digging up things, storing them over the winter, then replanting them in the spring. Too much like work. Even for beauties like that.

I've been treating them as annuals. I would like to get to the point where I can store them well. Gotta buy some cheap potting soil and a few more plastic bins and try it this year. Curiously, dahlias are one of the few plants that seem to do well here, sailing through three or four days without water, and living on light rations. Hope they do as well if I try to keep them over winter...
