What a beautiful tree, great shape and I love that bark!

The amazing part is the roots that grow over the rocks for some distance. They are very old. It was such a treat to see them in person.

Those roots are very cool the way they crawl over the rocks. The color of the bark and those rocks is really something ... I'd love to see something like that in person!

It was truly a wonderful experience driving through the 'Gardens of the Gods' in Colorado. Sorry I didn't get more in-depth photos of the roots. Some of them went quite a distance before disappearing down crack in the rocks.

Hope you get to go there some time Lin. I know you will just love it.

I hope to get there some day, I know I'd love it! The landscape is very different than what I'm used to seeing here in Florida and very beautiful!

Spring time is the best time to go. April. Desert plants are blooming and the weather is very moderate.
