I've been battling a plague of spider mites this summer, and finally have all my plants cleared, I think. My Monster White has been bravely flowering with wimpy little flowers all summer, but really struggling. Now the leaves are finally coming in at a fairly good size, but this last flush of flowers although normal size all were split lengthwise for some reason.

Anybody got an idea on the cause of this?

Rolling on the floor laughing You expect me to remember a flower from nearly a year ago, Rhapsody? I think they were all like this, but not sure.

See how the edges of the split are not brown or torn, they are 'finished' edges like the outer edges of the trumpet. Pretty sure they are deformed flowers, but it hasn't happened since that one flush of bloom, so . .. ??

Mystery shall continue. But no longer an issue, thankfully.
