I love the pattern of the leaves.

Is that a current photo Hetty? It reminds me of a type of Veronica longifolia (mine's been flowering for some time now) but there's probably several other plants it can be, best wait for flowers.

I took the picture yesterday.
Our climates will be very different, so bloom times may vary.

If it was growing here, I would say it's Physostegia virginiana. In Florida...

It appears to have smooth leaves and stems, correct?

Kent - your plant seems to be missing the absolutely regimented grouping of the leaves in tight rows at 90 degree angles to each other. It's what caught my eye.

Looks like an obedient plant to me.
