I am new to the site and I have a few dayliies. Some I have had for a while, and many I purchased from T'sflowers.com. Teresa has some really great dayliies as well as other plants. So I will be here trying to learn more. I'm not into the hybridizing. I just like to have beautiful summer color in my garden.

Go, Homer! I'm all about summer color in the yard, and DLs certainly provide that.

I wanted to drop a line to say "Hello" to all you happy friendly folks. I read much more often than I post, so I'll have to mend my ways a bit. We have had a tough summer to garden, but it's slowly improving. At least our weather has cooled from the really bad hot weather we had for so long. I'm looking forward to a long autumn and hoping for an improved weather system next year. I have not stopped in too often lately, but will spend more time here as winter comes. I will try to dig out some photos to share soon.

Homer--you say you have a few daylilies. Well, you are bound to have many more with so many folks here ready, willing, and able help you along the path to addiction At least, it is a good addiction and should give you much pleasure out of the beautiful flowers you will have. Will be looking forward to your posts, as you add DLs to your garden, and don't forget pictures--we love, love, love pictures!!!

What source do you buy your daylily seeds from?

I saw that but is it hard to register. What kind of info do they want?

julia, they will ask for an alias/screenname (a lot of us just use what we use everywhere so you could use springcolor ifvnot taken) and a password. Then you will give them your email address, full name, street address, and phone number. If they can verify you are who you say you are with that info then you won't have to supply any other info. If they can't and/or you have a public email (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc) then they may require you to send them a copy of your DL or a utility bill with your name and address on it to them. I just scanned mine into the computer and emailed it to them or if you don't have a scanner you could take a photo and upload it then email it.
This is to keep scammers (buyers and sellers) from getting on the lily auction. Since I can create a gazillion fake alias online and be anyone I want to be they just like to make sure you are who you say you are and this keeps anyone not legit off the auction.

Mike will not sell or give your info to anyone else, it is just for their verification purposes.

I like the 'Wanted Items', you can list the lilies you are looking for and they will email you when they go up for auction. I like that I don't have to keep checking back and watching, they do it for me.
