One of our favorite sellers, Abundantdaylilies, on the LA is missing this fall. Does anyone know why Mark Sattelmeier is not selling on the LA? I hope he is not having health problems. We have always been very pleased with his daylilies and miss his presence on the Lily Auction.

I too like him, although I have tried to stay off the auction (too much temptation) I have ordered from him in the past and been pleased with my purchases

Doris, like Paula said he has all his items listed in the newer section Mike added to the auction (Daylily Store). It's a good addition because sellers can have multiple items listed for 180 days instead of the normal 14 days max or 30 days max (old store post).

The only thing is I always forget to look in the store section

I found him in the store because I was looking for Irish Halo. I had four fans this spring and lost 2 of them to rot, so I was very anxious about it and decided to look for more. He had it for $35.00 for 2 fans, so I bought it twice. He sent me 6 fans, which are now potted up and looking good, I'm happy now again lol.

Irish Halo makes teeth on rebloom. Bill Waldrop didn't know this because it didn't do it for him. Although he said it had children with teeth.

Dot, I was watching that and he only had three -- and I got the last one! I purchased a total of eight daylilies from him, and I just was notified on Monday that he's shipped. I really do like his plants - very healthy, and he usually sends more fans than stated. I got BLACK FATHOM DEPTHS, MULBERRY LANE, PICOTEE PRISM, EMERALD DREAM, BROADWAY ELF, FANTASTIC FRINGE, SPACECOAST IRISH ILLUMINATION and IRISH HALO.

I just bought broadway elf myself, a few doubles and Vertigo. I have it so bad in real life I figured I needed the flower.

Well, I'm glad that I posted this question. The Daylily Store is news to me! I WAS headed outside to plant daylilies, but now I HAVE to check out everything that is listed there. I knew someone would know why Mark was not on the "regular" Lily Auction. Thank you, Michele and Paula.

How neat! There is another world of daylilies in The Daylily Store. I found Mark's and maybe two that I will buy. I'll have to show this to David and check out the other sellers' lilies. Now, I AM headed outside to plant.

He does have good plants. He has frost covers he uses in the winter that keep frost and cold out on most of his plants so they don't shrink down and just keep growing, that way he can ship out any time of year and not have to wait for spring growth to kick in before shipping.

I didn't know there was a store either. I'm definitely checking it out, although, I won't be buying any more until spring.

It seems the store would be alot easier for the seller,especially if youve got so many. I like it becuase you get in and get out...done.

General trivia, I just noticed that a few things on my want list were in the store, I was not notified tho. I then put some things on my want list, that were also in the store and Ive not been notified of them either. Anyway, if you use the want list, you might have to still check the store. I might have to edit this tomorrow, maybe it takes more time than I thought for things to 'go thru'.

I may have to ask Mike Longo about that and see if it's not set up to notify people. Maybe it was just an oversite when creating this area or maybe the items were already in the store and will only notify you if NEW items are added that are on your list. I just added something to my want list from the regular auction section that is already listed and it didn't notify me so it probably just notifies new items.

I just sent Mike a question about this so I will let you know what he says

Thanks for letting me know. ALL items, including Store items, are included in the 'Wanted' notices. I tested this out several time and just now as well.

Regarding the person who stated that they didn't get a notice for an item listed in the Store, you are right. It could be that the item was listed before the wanted word was listed. The other possibility is that the person may not be able to get our email notices and needs to put the email address, [email protected], in their Friends' list. This happens with yahoo, aol and other providers sometimes. Adding [email protected] to the friends list will fix it.

You can check if you are getting notices from the Lily Auction by requesting your password from the bottom site links. You should see it in your inbox within a couple of minutes.

What I like about the Store is that you can just buy daylilies without having to go through the auction process. I love that!
