This one stays low growing and will drape over a wall or container. I think I am really going to love this euphorbia. I got two others also. I'll take photos of them tomorrow.

The first thing I did when I got home was pinch off a couple of those begonia stems and put them in water. Insurance!!

Now I will have to do a bit of research to see how best to use my treasures. I doubt that they are all suitable for a table garden.

Bonfire in the data base:

Euphorbia (Euphorbia epithymoides 'Bonfire')

Oh boy, now I know I'm going to love this new euphorbia. Thanks for the link Connie.
I planted mine today, along with my wonderful Begonia sutherlandii. It seems very happy. I place extra mulch up around the base of it.

I also planted my Lysimachia congestiflora (Chocolate Creeping Jenny). I love this new plant.

Hey wasn't that Begonia sutherlandii just a measly 4 bucks? lol!

Occasionally check that creeping Jenny for aphids; they seem to be fond of that one. And do I see a lily in that photo? You need more of those and I am the one to enable you!!

Yes, I do have about 5 different lilies. They are all young and small. Except for the two in the back yard. They are large and wonderful, Stargazer and a big white one with a little blush in the center. I love them.
Connie, when does the orchid bloom?

More photos to come in the next day or two.

Lynn, I don't recall offhand when the goodyera blooms. One of my wildflower books says July-Sept. but around here I expect it is all about elevation. I had it in my garden many years ago but it got overgrown and I lost it. It may have got overwatered; as a native it prefers the dry summers.

I have seen large patches of these in the woods. It is more notable for its foliage than its flowers. The common name is rattlesnake plantain. Rattlesnake for the leaf pattern and plantain for the growth pattern.

That's ok, Lynn. You can get starts from me. It grows by making underground runners and sending up offsets. All the plants in the photo are connected.

Yes, it is. You would need to plant it in an out of the way place where it wouldn't get stepped on.

I potted your baby Polygala chamaebuxus, and it is looking quite happy after it's transplanting. I'll take a photo today. Shrubby Milkwort (Polygaloides chamaebuxus)

Wow, what an interesting looking little plant! The leaves look like they might be rather leathery, like rhododendron. I think that would work on my table garden Lovey dubby .

Hurray! Yes, I thought it would work really well. And yes, it does make you think of a very tiny/miniature rhodie.
