I posted this in Plant ID as well. Any one know what the variety would be?

Do you have any idea about how old it is, and about what size it is. It looks like a mini , maybe 4 inches, but hard to tell from a picture.

Plant is about 5 years old or more. Plant is big, 2 feet tall and about 3 feet spread. Flowers are 4 or 5 inches. If memory serves me, I believe it is a repeat bloomer

Since many daylilies look alike, it is difficult to ID just from a flower. Can you give us more info? What are the following: size is the flower, height of the scape, Tetraploid or Diploid (if you don't know that one you can usually find out during bloom season by if it sets pods using Tet or Dip pollen), bloom season and plant habit (Ev, Dor or SEv)?

Any of this info you can give us will help greatly.

For example, it looks a bit like Nacogdoches Bing Cherry which is 14",Dip,2.50",SEv,E,Frag,Re

It's not in bloom now, so I can't measure the blooms. I lifted the plant to relocate and divide. Do these help? Has a big root system

Sorry, really can't tell from photos of the plant.

You may have to wait until next year when you can measure the bloom and scape height. I noticed that your location is listed as Calgary, AB Canada (Zone 3a). That most likely means that your plant is a Dormant or Semidormant since they tend to do better in the colder zones, although that is not absolute.

One other thing to note is the bloom season (Early, Middle, Late, etc.). The exact dates for the seasons vary for regions, but most of the time the seasons are constant within a region.

Do you remember where you got the plant? If you can find that info you could ask the seller or at least narrow down the possibilities.

wow, are those going to be happy, and give you many more blooms when you divide. It does take about year for them to settle in and give you their all, but with all those fans, even and unsettled daylily should be full of blooms, even the first year.

With over 70,000 registered daylilies, and thousands of seedlings floating around, there is no way to be sure what you have.

If you had a list of what you bought, we **might** be able to ID it to a name on the list.

There would probably be 1000 registered daylilies that are pink with an eye.

It is better to keep it a "No ID" than guess at the name.

Sometimes, if you can remember where you got it, and about how long ago, you can get hold of one of the persons older catalogs and find it that way.
