I got a package in this morning that brought a most wonderful surprise! I bought a plant and a seedling from Michele on the Lily Auction. It seems the seedling decided to get a case of bad roots, so Michele, being the wonderful person she is, would not send out a plant that wasn't in tip top shape. Remeber, this was a seedling and very in-expensive, so she sent me a fan of DRAGONFLY DAWN!!!!!! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! How many ways may I say how happy I am. She had taken the time to read my posts on here and knew that I was just nearly grieving for DF. So, she just thought it a great idea and I bet you can tell, I think so too! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!

I thought I would post a copy of the tree-mail I sent her:

I'm so HAPPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEE! What a wonderful gift you sent me! Michele, you have really provided me with a gift that is tremendous! In fact, I'm at a loss as to how to put it in words. I'll start. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR "Dragonfly Dawn". It's the one plant that I really need to advance my eyes. I've read so many good things about it this year. I saw your Auction with it, but I really needed to wait until next Spring and then that would be ify too. So, you haven given me my Christmas in September.

I'm truly humbled by your generosity. I know that being a single woman is hard. I also know that you are working your fingers to a bone at James' because I've seen all the plants he keeps listing. Then all your plants have to be sold and taken care of. So, young lady, you are truly a dedicated servant to us all. You are truly appreciated on this website and I'm sure it's the same with all the wonderful people you meet in your area. Please take all these kind words and know that they aren't enough. You deserve even more and one day, you will receive more than you've given on this Earth. You are a blessing to us all!!!

I'm sure most everyone here has been a recipient of Michele's kindness and hard work. It takes time to keep up with us all, post so many wonderful photos and for me"""" Answer all my questions! As you all know, I'm full of questions!"" So, needless to say, Michele is my favorite person of the day. Smiling

Ok Ok you guys you are making me blush *Blush* *Blush* *Blush*

It was just a prolif that I had sent Mona, the daylily gave me a free plant so I thought I would give Mona one since I know she wanted it very badly and she is just really beginning to get into what she wants her program to focus on (even though she has SOOOOOOOO many seedlings already Green Grin! ). I have had very generous daylily people in my life also (I won't mention any names since not everyone likes to be recognized for their deeds) so when I can I try and do something nice for someone else.

Besides, the world is a better place with more daylilies growing everywhere

Thumbs up

Michele,

The world is a better place when someone like YOU does something such as this that is so selfless. May we all take a lesson from this and do something nice for someone else this week.

Well I am here to attest to the fact that both Michelle and Doris have gifted me so generously. Doris replaced a DL I lost and loved and Michelle sent me so much seed last year with my LA winnings as I had such a bad year setting seed. It was like Christmas from both. They are so kind to do these things and I in turn will be helping others when I can. I am a firm believer that every good deed should not stop there but go on from there. Thumbs up Thumbs up
