It's probably safer to exchange addresses by tree-mail.

I agree. I wouldn't be comfortable having my name and address out there for anyone to grab.

I remember on DG we had a place. It is really easy to get one's address on with whitepages, too easy for people to get your personal info.

I agree that Tree-mail is the best for exchanging addresses. Great way to privately work out an agreement on what is being sent. Smiling

Hello, I was wondering if, when you add a plant to your list and there are multiple photos, you can choose which photo to use vs apparently having one assigned. For example, sometimes there is a close up I prefer over a distance shot etc. I'm new to this site, so maybe this is addressed somewhere but I couldn't find it. Thanks. I love this site and the list feature!

I really like that idea Patty. I don't think we have that option right now.

Dave do we have it? If not, can we get it? Smiling Look, it's my very sweet smile, asking pretty please. Whistling

Patty, the one that shows up on the list is the image with the most "thumbs-up." Sometimes you can get the image of your choice simply by giving it a "thumbs-up."

Zuzu is right. Give a thumbs-up to the one you like and that will push it up the scale. It is possible that I can set it up so that it will use the one image that you thumbed, but that's a "pie in the sky" kind of thing that, although possible, would be very computationally expensive and might slow the whole site down. I'd have to just get into the code and see what can be done. I've got other projects lined up ahead of that, though. Smiling

I have been adding to my plant list and have several more daylilies to go. I have to go back thru several pages to see what I have in there before adding more. Is there a way that you could set the plants up from A to Z, so checking would be quicker?

Thanks,
Teresa

Go to the Daylily Database, you can select it from the scroll-down menu on the right, then click on the '» Browse the full list of daylilies' and from there you can click on the letters of the alphabet.

Sue, I think she's talking about sorting her own plant list.

Teresa, if you just use the daylily database, and search for the cultivar, when you bring it up on the screen, the upper right panel will include either a box that says "add to your list" or the phrase "in your list!" (or words to that effect). It came in very handy yesterday when I was updating my list.

She already has a large inventory list. Shrug!
Teresa, do you mean you want to see your inventory list in alphabetical order? They already are. You can go to your profile page and open one of your lists, say for instance, your daylily list. What I would do to continue adding additional plants is open another window, that way you can go back and forth against what you already added. Not sure if you noticed though, if something is already in your list, it says so on the entry so you can't add it again.

Regardless of how large or small your list is, you don't need to look in your list to see if you have already added a particular plant to it. All you have to do is look up the plant in the database, and it will tell you on the right-hand side. It will either say "Add to list" or it will say "In your list."
