There has not been too many years in my life when I wasn't a caregiver, First when I had children, later an ailing grandfather, then am ailing mother in law and now my son. One thing you have to do is take care of the caregiver. YOU Without you things will be much worse for Bill. It is not selfish to think of yourself. (Trust me...I know the guilt related to that statement but you will get over it) Bill needs to do what Bill can do for himself or Bill's time on earth is going to be even shorter. Put you a coffee pot out there on that cute little patio of yours and get you a stack of magazines and books you will enjoy. You won't be that far from Bill if he needs you but if you are out of sight I will just bet he will manage to do some things for himself. You are just too convenient for him when he sees you.

See you in a few days...in the meantime call if there is anything we can do..

More sage advice I have never heard than that Brenda gave you. Listen to her & heed her words.

Don't overdo it trying to do everything tomorrow when you're allowed to drive aka "Don't sweat the small stuff".

We're still here & we aren't going anywhere.

I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown

I agree I agree

It is critical that you take care of yourself too. AND IT IS OK, maybe even vital.

I was so glad to see your posting and to know that you got through that procedure. Hurray!

Sitting out on the patio with a cup of coffee sounds like a really good idea, maybe as she says,
it will be out of sight out of mind Hilarious! nothing wrong with that either.

Had you on my mind this morning.

Praying that things are going OK or at least as well as can be expected.

Hoping you are getting a little "me" time too. Still thinking of that cup of coffee on the patio.

Praying for strength and a surrounding by friends.

With affection,
Marilyn
