I love this rose; it is one of my healthiest plants.

If I'm not mistaken, it's since been identified by ARE as Carefree Beauty. I've seen it grown as a seven foot tall hedge, half covered in pink flowers and was very impressed.

Yeah, I know, but I live near Katy so I like the other name.

And not so easily confused with Carefree Wonder, Carefree Marvel, etc.

I got used to calling it Katy Road Pink until it was noted as Carefree Wonder, beauty etc. I can't remember either. But it is a robust everblooming wonder. Never needs or anything. Mine is about 13 years and still great as ever.

It was bred before all the other Carefree's and, IMO, is better than them all. I've always thought Meilland was trying to confuse cutomers with their flurry of 'Carefree' roses some of which really weren't so much. 'Katy Road Pink' does do away with that problem.
