I know I have already lost plants this year - makes you wonder what to expect.

Me too. I'm very curious to see what perennials won't return in my gardens next year. I think we've had 1/2" of rain total in the last 2-1/2 months.

Last year record amounts of rain and this year way to dry till recently. Neither one a good one for Heuchera.

So, has anybody tried 'Dew Drops'? The idea of "bright red" flowers with that gorgeous white/green foliage is calling my name...

It's on a sale list that Mamajack put out recently in her Cubits store, along with a bunch of other really cool looking ones. She's listed some with contrasting edges that I might "need" also -- 'Gauguin', 'Picasso', & 'Magic Color'. Trying to figure out which ones are x villosa hybrids, as they seem to do best for me. 'Magic Color' is, looks like.

Jill I have 'Dew Drops', was new for me this year, did't bloom. Has grown really well for me but we shall see what winter brings. Also have 'Picasso' an other god one but will see have it does this winter.

Good to know that they were both strong growers for you... a good number of heuchera have failed to make it through the winter for me, also, and I suspect it's more a site/drainage issue than a matter of one variety over another. I do my best to plant them up on little amended mounds, but...

Thanks for the feedback on them!
