Lavender, with it's cool blue or warm pink tones, is my favorite color in the garden. I can't seem to find my images of two of the clearest blue lavenders I grow, AGE OF AQUARIUS and PEWTER LAKE, but have these others to share. All do extremely well here in zone 4.

AQUA TECH the best clear lavender in my garden right now and a wonderful example of a pleated Sculpted form.

Char, somehow I missed the ones you posted. I certainly agree about AQUA TECH. I do love it! Hopeful that the price will go down and I can grow it someday.

Some really beautiful daylilies here!

My favorite that I have grown is JEWEL OF THE OASIS. Not a huge big plant, but the color is devine. My photo is to pink - it is a lovely cool orchid/lilac/lavendar

Jewel of the Oasis is very different. It has glittery pink diamond dusting making the color shift a bit from lavender to lavender pink and seems to add a depth to the color as well. Great plant habit too!
Caught up on some projects this week including finishing the garden cleanup today. After several very cool cloudy days today was perfect, sunny, mid 60's. Found a few more lavender cultivars which grow well here....

Texas Blue Eyes was new for me last year and the drought pretty much gave it a run for its money this year. I'm hoping it will do better next year. Pictures here of it tells me I chose a good one Smiling

Here are the ones that I have that have "blue" somewhere in their description. Some of these are still settling in so they aren't in the best of shape.

I have Texas Feathered Fancy but it is more uniform in color than the photo above. I wonder if it is because of the age of the plants (how old is yours Char) or different zones?

Sorry to hear about the drought Vicki and all the problems it caused in the mid west. Texas Blue Eyes is a good one! Love your image of Lone Wolf, my camera always sees it heavy on the blue side. I had Rhapsody in Time 10 or so years ago, but it was moved out to make room for something new, it too was very nice. Had some seedlings from it which are in the foundation of the patterns I work with.

Lavender Blue Baby can pass on some of the characteristics of the sculpted forms and is in the background of a few others. Ohio Discovery, from Tet. LBB, and Michael's Sword are the two most commonly known that show some cristation. With the large number of LBB kids, grandkids etc. out there, the sculpted forms make up a small percentage from the line, but if someone was to be working on sculpted forms LBB and some cv's from the line could be a good thing to add to your program.

LONE WOLF as seen by a camera which thinks we need more blue in our daylilies Smiling

Sandy, we replied at the same time Smiling
My image of TFF is off, color wise, normally it does not look like a bicolor, more like your image. My problem is I like to cut the blooms open to see what is on the inside and I kick myself all the time for not getting an image of the full bloom before I do this!

Char, I think your picture of Michael's Sword is awesome:) Love the warm tone of it. On some of the daylilies, I find that I have to use several different settings to get the picture to look like the bloom color. It can be very frustrating at times!

Thanks Vicki. My old camera didn't have any easy way to change the settings, but the new one, which is what I used for the MS image, has some wonderful features. I love being able to see the flower in the garden and adjusted image on the screen together, makes images more accurate. The advances in digital are amazing! Images I am posting are from both cameras, still organizing image folders from this year... I went a little crazy with my new camera Smiling

Love the way the color travels out up the midrib of Mexicali Blues. Black Fathom Depths looks stunning and so appropriately named! The depth and layers of color in that eye. Blues Avenue is not a happy camper here, in the image it is trying to open on a 48 degree morning during peak this year, and I've almost lost it over the winter a few times. Bloomed well this year though, other than the opening trouble and was used with my northern pattern sdlgs. The breaks in the eye are fascinating.
