Not sure if you wanted the top 5 performers, or just the top 5 favorites on flowers. I'll do performers.

Arrogant Bastard - a Curt Hanson intro, has one of the best daylily plants I have ever grown. Healthy, lush foliage, lots of scapes, bud builds so each scape has had at least 40 buds, usually over 55 - and tree-like branching. Add to that a wonderful deep ruby red to purple bloom with a deep green throat.

Fabulous Freida - a David Kirchhoff intro, continues to amaze me. Great branching and decent bud count for a plant that has not been here very long. Each flower was absolutely perfect.

Spacecoast Tiny Perfection - a Kinnebrew intro, continues to get better and better. Flawless flowers, that are usually sculpted, on very nicely branched scapes with high bud count and nice foliage.

Nutmeg Elf - an older one by McCabe. Huge clump that bloomed and bloomed and bloomed. I like this one so well that it anchors the perennial bed right by my front steps. Here are some photos of it this past summer.

Leprechaun's Lace - an Elizabeth Salter intro that is so old, it is an Elizabeth Hudson. I adore this plant. One of my best instant rebloomers. Never fails. It is in a prime spot along my front sidewalk, and is surrounded by pulmonaria, hosta, Japanese Painted ferns. One of my best performers, year after year.

Holly Dancer, a Dottie Warrell intro, continues year after year to be in my top 10. Clear color, high bud count, great branching. I love it. Fabulous parent.

A TN friend grows ARROGANT B. and loves it. I have SPC. TINY PERFECTION and it bloomed well for such a hot, dry summer.

Teresa, I think more people would grow it if it had a different name. Confused

True, he has some odd names for his plants. I heard him speak in Lexington last yr. He is an interesting person.

Teresa,
Freedom in Flight is registered at 3 inches and that seems about right.

I like to see a lot of blooms at one time....length of season doesn't really matter to me if plant puts out only a bloom here or there.

Ashton Giggles was eaten off by deer last year....it made up for it this year.

Sabine Baur was another favorite...

Inherited Wealth always puts on a good show...

I've enjoyed Suddenly Blue immensely since I acquired it a few years ago....

Sandy, these are gorgeous, plentiful blooms. About the only time I see
this is when they are mature clumps at about three years or so.

I agree Your Sabine Bauer is awesome. I have had mine for at least 5 years and no way do I get bloom like that.

Sandy, I have seen so many different pictures of Ashton's Giggles and every pic I see it seems to be a different color. On the Lily Auction one vendor's picture portrayed it as peach with the edge. I wonder if it shows its colors different in different zones??

Hi CInday

I've not researched Ashton's Giggles photos to see differences in color, however, I just LOVE mine so I'm happy with the one I have! Do you grow it?

Goodness, there are so many beautiful pictures here. I haven't seen a bad bloom on Can't Touch This or Parrots of the Caribbean, so I think they will stay at the top of my list.

I've never seen Cutting Loose before, and I really liked the color and form on it in particular.

Indian Ripple is just the bright colors I like. I tried to order it this fall but it was sold out at the nursery I use.

Sabine Bauer has been around for awhile, but it sure is a pretty one in Sandy's photo.

Couldn't decide on the deep purples, but really not crazy about Arrogant's name, so have to go with All My Love....I hope more pictures are coming.......Maryl

Cutting Loose is much darker early in the season, but I actually like the color better later in the day or season when it is lighter in color.
