Hi everyone, so sorry I kinda took off there, but am finally getting back into a bit of routine, so hopefully will have more time for the forums again.

I've begun volunteering at the Desert Botanical Gardens here in Phoenix - it's truly a world class garden, research and educational facility. They also hold great events, have lots of kids stuff, photography, etc. And I just completed my training for the fall release of the Monarch butterflies in the Butterfly Pavilion. They also have a separate training for the spring butterflies, more info on that when I get it.

When I have a minute, though, I thought I'd give some of the factoids that I learned about the Monarchs. I know a lot of you know tons already, but some surprised me, so maybe there will be something for others.

Anywho, hope to see ya'll posting and hope everyone had a wonderful summer!

Sheryl Hurray!

Hi, Sheryl! Just noticed this! Sounds interesting! We're getting more butterflies every time a front comes in. Monarch are going through the area, but for some reason they've been avoiding my yard for the last few weeks. Hmm...maybe I need one of those waystation signs, so they'll know they are SUPPOSED to stop here and nectar. No Monarch caterpillars seen since spring.

Hi Linda! Didn't think there was much interest, so I didn't bother putting it up, but if you are, I will!

Signs, balloons, neon lights - hey! OVER HERE. Rolling on the floor laughing Although, from your posts, I gather you do get a good amount of action over the year.
