If you are in the database and viewing an image and you want to reference that image in a thread somewhere, historically, you would link to it by copying the address into your post, like this:



Starting now, at the photo page, under the caption and license information, it shows an "ATP BB Code". Just copy and paste that BB code into your forum thread and it'll appear like below:



That bb code will add all the details like the name of the plant and the thumbnail links directly into the database. This works anywhere BB Code is enabled on the site (blogs, forums, ideas, etc.)

Just a thought, how about automatically informing (or sending a link to) the photos author that it's being used?

That's not possible, the way this is programmed.

For this series on Hybridizers that Char and I are doing, we won't always have an image that we have taken to upload, and will need to pull one from the database. It would be really nice if they would show up as a thumbnail.

Is this possible?

I think it is not something you can do - but thought I would ask....

Good idea there. I have updated the code so that if there is no uploaded photo, it will use the first db_photo tag as the thumbnail!
