I'm going to retire and live off of my savings. Not sure what I'll do that second week.

Hi Vickie. Isn't it exciting. How many daylily varieties do you have? Did you get your raffle tickets yet? Hurray!

Lynn, yes it is so exciting! I love reading all the articles but our internet was down all yesterday evening so I couldn't get on here. I did get raffle tickets and thank you so much!

I have 162 named cultivars and something like 30 NOIDs. There used to be a daylily farm nearby, but they closed last year. I really missed them this year.

Thanks go to all those who contributed to the daylily database I tip my hat to you. It really helps to see what they look like in different gardens.

Five. Two from my mom just before she died and 3 others from trades. The ones from my mom are very special to me, 'Buttered Popcorn' and 'Frankly Scarlet'. She so loved the bright blooms of both.

Buttered Popcorn is a nice one and really does seem like it's popping like popcorn once it gets going. I actually have a scape blooming now, although the blooms may stop now with the colder weather. Never had it rebloom before.

Just looked at your picture of Frankly Scarlet on the database. It's very pretty! Those flowers we get from our family are treasures indeed:) Every time I would take a yellow rose to my Dad he would say "Pop's rose!" because his Dad had a yellow rose bush that he loved. Even though my rose bush was a different variety, it would always remind my Dad of his Dad. I hope there are roses in heaven Angel

Great idea!! My favorite flower too, and a whole week of celebration.
Many thanks to all those who contributed so many photos to the database.

The database is worth its weight in gold when we see how the flowers
look in different gardens. Plus there are so many other advantages such as
the search for lineage.

Adding my thanks to all the contributors, whether you've added 2 photos or 1200! Seeing the flowers in different gardens and getting reports from various areas on how they grow (or not) for you is really helpful. What a nice thank-you gift for the top contributors!
