Masud, Strobilanthes rankanensis is a synonym of Parachampionella rankanensis. And yes, your photos do look like P. rankanensis.

Thank you zuzu, synonym's are my weakness. I knew there had to be one, could not find it under Strobilanthes thats why i posted to this forum. University of Minnesota, i think once upon a time was charting the flora of this area. Wonder what happened to that initiative.

I think i need a few classes. Ok, now i know where the plant list is. Though i go to the Kew site quite often but never noticed that. zuzu thanks.
