Is anyone else watching their plants disappear from hungry caterpillars ? Confused I did not think the problem could get worse then it was last year but I was wrong ! Crying This morning I noticed the tops of my perennial morning glory vines were devoid of leaves ! Angry I found yet another very long green tomato horn worm on it plus 4 more medium size caterpillars that were brown all eating away. Blinking They are no longer eating here ! Glare I also removed a small green caterpillar from a brugmansia. For several weeks now I have had lots of the hornworms eating their way thru my large cape honeysuckle bushes. Strangely , they never have bothered my tomato plants when I had them growing. Just curious if others are having these problems.

Shrug!

Linda, I am so sorry to hear about your nasty hornworm problem, luckily we don't have a problem with them this time of year, too cold at night. Thumbs up However because of the unseasonably warm temperatures during the daytime this fall we do have a lot of nasty little blood sucking biting gnats Angry , perhaps we could exchange pests for awhile. I'm not sure you would be happy with the trade, I think these gnats are worse than mosquitoes, they leave itchy red spots that keep enlarging until they are about the size of a dime or a nickle, looks kind of like a blood blister, very nasty I can tell you.
