I came across this field yesterday. Helianthus angustifolius.

It's about 6 or 7 miles away. This is lot about 2 acres in sizes that is mostly cover in Swamp Sunflowers.

Jay, that is very pretty, I had never seen swamp sunflowers and seeing them in profusion like that is really nice.
I do have two plants from the seeds you sent me when we had the seed exchange and they are about to bloom, of course it is only two stems but i will take a picture so you can see mine. Smiling

Each stalk should produce many bloom, so it should still be pretty. I have seen a few patches that were 10 feet or so across near my house, but I have never seen them like this. The ones near my house have mostly been destroyed and replaced by a gated community. Grumbling
