Unusual Forms of Daylilies

By spunky1

The first daylily I registered was an unusual form. Even before that first release, they were my favorite form of daylily and continue to be until this day.

Wonderful!! I don't grow many UF's, but I love them. Especially like your Lillian's
Vapor Trail and Lillian's White Lies. I really like to see flowers twist and curl too.

Wow, I did not know they came that way. Love the Lillian's Vapor Trail. I do have one that some ones sent to me some years back, called Skinwalker. So strange, but fun.
Loved reading about these strange but beautiful daylilies. : )

They're my favorites too. Them and the spiders were what started my addiction. I love how the Crispate's look different with each bloom.

SKINWALKER = strange?

To me it is the most beautiful of forms. I dropped to my knees just to view it up close on its maiden bloom.

Unfortunately it is not hardy for me, just north of Boston, but I have two intros out of it that are very hardy.

Fortunately, it won the STOUT MEDAL of honor....the highest award in the daylily system!

So you are in good company, liking it!

I often wonder how the name Skinwalker came about?
