This unknown colony is found daily on my mango tree.

Thumb of 2012-10-11/HarleyQDiva/2bb132

What are they? I have been scooping them away, they sometimes flutter and disappear, and then they return.

While the colony is visiting there seems to be a lot of black ladybugs that are hanging around as well.

I bet our expert Janet (JRsbugs) would know what those creepy looking things are. I will shoot her a T-mail with a link back here and maybe she can help identify those critters ... hopefully they are a good insect and not detrimental to the mango trees.

They are Ladybug larvae, I haven't seen any which split their skins like this but Chilocorus sp. do ..

They are a good bug so look after them, they will eat pests.
