Also got *Like Wow* and *Rio Rojo*.

Think that's it!

Cajun Rhythm

Copatonic

Bonus:

All About Blue

Silken Trim

Oh, and I also got some of their fertilizer to try.

I didn't add iris this yr but could I ask which one is your fav that you currently grow? Might help with a decision on adding a few next yr.
Thanks

I ordered from Schreiner's this year just to get the one iris I've been waiting for since 2009:
ALSEA FALLS

I also ordered another new intro:
FIDDLIN' AROUND
http://www.schreinersgardens.c...

Then I received four additional rhizomes as gifts:
LIKE WOW
SILKEN TRIM
2 SUNRISE ELEGY

Edit: I have been using a 6-10-10 granular fertilizer that is really inexpensive (like under $3/box) at WalMart. It was in a green box and used to be called Pennington, but I think they changed the name last year. I haven't checked this year to see if they have it again, but they've had it for the last 5 years or so.

Boy, that Fiddlin Around sure is different with the underside of the falls very different from the top of the falls. I like Alsea Falls too, it's like an improvement over Can't Touch This, which is like it, but a bit floppy, and doesn't hold it's shape too well.

I only had a handful of ID-ed irises until this year, so it was a big year of adding for me. These are the Schreiner ones I got.

Blue Sapphire
Caldron
Sapphire Hills
Carnaby
Burnt Toffee
Commando
Honky Tonk Blues
Change of Pace
War Chief
Celebration Song
In the Mood
Cajun Rhythm
Sentimental Rose
Afternoon in Rio
Rio Rojo
Glad
Queen of the Mist

Only the last three are intros from the last 5 years, and many have been around for decades. I can't really help with Teresa's question about which are the favorites, since none of these have had a chance to bloom. The only Schreiner iris that I already had was Picasso Moon, which bloomed beautifully despite being transplanted in late winter. I'm not a big fan of yellow irises generally, so I wouldn't call it a favorite. But for what it is I like it pretty well, and if you happen to actually like yellow irises I'd recommend it.

Picasso Moon is a drop-dead gorgeous Iris. I really wouldn't call it yellow, would you Brett? Mine is more like molten gold. I planted it in front of my Japanese Red Maple tree -- the contrast is wonderful. Your picture of Picasso Moon is beautiful!! Lovey dubby I love that Iris.

Betty -- your picture of Alsea Falls is just amazing!!

I struggled with Teresa's question too. Partly because I didn't understand it. Teresa -- do you want to know our favorite Schreiner's Iris? Or just our favorite-favorite Iris? Or favorite that we got this year? Confused

I confuse easily.....................

Teresa, the one that immediately popped into my mind when you asked about our favorite Schreiner's iris is YAQUINA BLUE. I absolutely adore this iris! Here are pictures of it at different times of day and in different years -- she's very photogenic!

Well, I'm sort of a box-of-eight-crayons guy when it comes to colors, I guess. Violet = purple; mauve = purple; orchid = purple; etc.

Muddymitts said:P.S. Was that a sly play on words Brett? You're not a big *fan* of yellow Irises

No, unfortunately. If intentionally punning is the expectation in these parts I guess I'll have to raise my standards. :~)

Kent, you're right, it's baptisia. I had moved that plant to another location, and I must have missed some, as it came back. Oh well, it must like it there.
Brad, I don't know if I sent you any of those two or not, but I had a huge clump of Mexican Holiday that I dug up. I moved two rhizomes to a new bed, and got rid of the rest. It's a good grower. If not, I will get some to you next summer.
