I can´t help it, but that´s how and who I am. Dear Sharon, thank you so much for sharing this beautiful story with us. Your stories from your youth always make my mind wander to my childhood and bring back varm memories. Lovey dubby

Mentioning the beautiful daylilies your Ninna gave you, I, together with quite a few others have been trying to grow them here for a few years. They seem to grow well, but have not produced any flowers that I know of yet. Confused We are not quite sure why they do not bloom, but I guess it is the cool summers we have here. -

But Green Grin! Green Grin! your blogs and articles bring me sunshine Angel .

Magga, thanks for such kind words. I'm glad you have warm memories from your childhood too.

I wonder if you have enough warm days in your climate for the daylilies. The foliage on mine begins appearing in late February or early March, but they don't begin blooming until middle or late May. Then they bloom until August, and sometimes reblooms appear. Maybe you just don't have enough warm days for the entire process.

I am glad they grow for you, though. The foliage itself is quite beautiful.

Your words brought me sunshine today too! Group hug
