You'd do the same, Cindi. She's a sweet, sweet dog. A Rhodesian Ridgeback.

Sorry, CR, it's rated to zone 6. Someone posted on GardenWeb that he grows it in zone 5, but it's more like a tall hybrid tea there because so much winter kill has to be lopped off each spring.

Hmmmm...maybe I could plant it by the house.
Normal around here for roses to get dieback to the snow line.

I looked on HMFR and its says its only available at S&W Greenhouses.
Zuzu is that where you got it?
Kinds disappointed that its a climber since its canes will die back here.
Is there a bush form of it?

I bought mine from Palatine, CR. I wasn't impressed by S&W's roses. They barely survive here. They'd surely give up the ghost in your neck of the woods. There isn't a bush form, but I think just about any climber can be grown as a bush, can't it?

Palatine will start taking orders for next season in September. I think it's the best source for this rose.

No Vicky, we got it at Palatine http://www.palatineroses.com/r...
not sure why it's not listed on HMF. No bush form, only a climber.
You what looks pretty similar, maybe not as much coloring but the shape and look of the blooms are almost the same, Caramel Fairy Tale or Caramella.

here are the other pictures added to the database here though

Actually right now with the cooler weather, my bloom look a lot like Aloha Hawaii, I actually got confused until I checked the tag.

I'm not sure how roses get classified as climbers. Climbing Pinkie has always preferred to be a big bush for me. As have several other "climbing" roses.

Its just too gorgeous not to try.
I'll plant it near the house in a sheltered area.

Zuzu, how about you send out one of those C-Mail blasts when Palatine starts their fall ordering?

I could, but lots of people get annoyed by them, and we have about 100 members who are never heard from and are possibly uninterested. I think I'll just start threads in the "Buying Roses" cubit when ordering begins for various nurseries. I will send you a personal c-mail when Palatine starts taking orders, however.

I'm expecting to start one of those threads any day now for Roses Unlimited because they usually have their half-price sale around this time each year.

Thanks. Mainly I asked that just because Cottage Rose accused you of enabling. I was enabling your enabling! Hilarious!
I'll have to put a watch on the Buying Roses forum.
I'm hot, tired and sunburned from planting roses all day, and I'm not done. Why would I want any more?
That's just how it is... Rolling my eyes.
