Just wondering if any ATPs folks have ordered from De before. Feedback was mostly good but 3 negatives this Fall ! I did bid on one, but I see he has other Gossard plants available. Any info would be greatly appreciated.kt

Thanks,

I noticed that the bad feedback was all from the same buyer in Europe. Is this maybe third party shipping, with the possibilty of mistakes with the passing of plants through several hands? Just saying, I have never bought from him.

Teresa,

Dot may be right. Here are the comments from the user in Germany:

Negative:Very poor plants for plants I purchased 9 months ago. Not satisfied at all.
Negative:Purch. 31/3 NOT delivered ??Money back thanks to the people of the Lilyauction.
Negative:WRONG PLANT, bought Fang and Claw last year = cheap spider instead. NO REFUND.

So to me, first, the ability to leave negative feedback for plants purchased that far back shouldn't be allowed by the auction folk. Second, look at the content of the comments. This buyer also left a neutral in the same theme. Speaking from nine years of eBay experience, generally, when a buyer becomes upset with a seller no matter what the problem and there are multiple purchases from that seller, ALL of the comments will be bad regardless of how many were actually problematic. Third, again in my experience, International buyers are almost a certainty for problem transactions. Fourth, look at the number of positive comments v. the negatives. Out of nearly 1400 total comments, three are negative. My opinion only, but I think is it is probably safe to buy from this seller. Smiling

I would have to go back in my records and check, but I am 99% positive I purchased things from DE in 2011 or possibly 2010. But I have always had positive outcomes from any of the sellers I have used, even when I was a "newbie" on the auction and didn't know which sellers (only a few) that I should stay away from Heck, you might even find a positive feedback from me in there.

Give me a few days & I will try to check ~Jan

I agree Well said Debra! I would certainly order from this person with confidence. Technically there is one negative comment and that is the man in Germany. There are 1400 positive comments. I would not pay any attention to the man in Germany. If you can make 1400 people happy you are ok with me. Green Grin!

Ok, thanks for the feedback. I thought they should be fine, most comments were very positive! I have a SIL very close to his address in IN but she is not into daylilies or any flowers really.

I've ordered from John three or four times now and have been very pleased. In fact I just recently received a large SF of WICKEDLY WILD AND WONDERFUL from him.

Yes, unlike eBay! I ordered two plants Jan 2, for spring shipping, mid April. The plants never came and it was the first of May before I realized. eBay would not let me contact seller because it had been over three months. The transaction had been voided and there was no record of my purchase. I finally got in touch with customer service at the website and they gave me a 800 number which ended me up in a foreign country. They outsource customer service!! I hardly ever buy there anymore. Paypal was no help either, they keep no records over three months, so you have to remember to print or save the statements they send you. Very important!! Rolling my eyes.
