Welcome! Welcome!

Lindsey, very pretty. I love yellow flowers of all kinds!

I agree not a daylily. I don't know true lilies very well, so do not know what kind of lily your photo is of. Daylilies have fleshy roots, not bulbs like true lilies. Foliage is grassy looking, or somewhat like corn stalk foliage. Lily foliage is usually on the stalk the blooms are on. Also, lily blooms last several days, but daylilies last only one day. The flowers look similar though!!!

Welcome!!!!

Welcome!

I think it is a lily also not a daylily.

Lindsey, please post some more photos!

Actually, in your photo, I think I see some daylily foliage towards the upper part of the photo.... You must have daylilies and true lilies planted together in the same bed. I do that too!

it is a very common mistake! I have to look closely sometimes on my photos to tell them apart! The flowers are shaped very similar.

I love your lily. I plant true lilies in between many of my daylilies myself. I find that they really go well together. Plus the asiatics usually bloom before the daylilies do so that means I get lots of pretty flowers crammed into my garden beds.
