Maybe the size of a small egg

l don't know much about all the different cultivars of persimmons, but am trying to learn more. I know some are astringent and some are not, and it depends on when you can pick and eat them. I have one down the road, and it has the very small fruit with lots of seeds in them. It would take more to feel full or make some preserves. Some have seeds some don't too. If I can remember, I read somewhere that some will not produce if there are other's around and some need a pollinator, but not sure if it is another persimmon or another type of fruit tree. Ms. Bubbles, do you know what kind you have?

The tree was already there when we bought the house. I don't know which kind it is. It's a fairly small tree, but is usually loaded with fruit without any fertilizer and minimum water.

If the one "down the street" has small black/purple fruit, it's probably a wild persimmon. The wild persimmon has a beautifully marked bark.
