I found these growing in my mother-in-law's flower bed,she doesn't do anything with them anymore & there's a lot of weeds. But i noticed these when collecting morning glory seeds. There are a few big ones & little babies all around them. They are growing in full sun.She doesn't remember planting them & told me they may be a weed,if they are weeds i think their very unique & would love to get some pups for one of my beds.

The red isn't separate it's the leaf's color at the leaf stem.Looks like it's wearing a bow tie.The leaves are also such an interesting shape.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!! Big Grin I tip my hat to you.

Is now the right time to transplant some from her bed to mine? Should i get the smallest ones or the bigger ones?

Any other advice on transplanting them is appreciated!!!

Jelinda -- I think you could transplant them now in your zone. Take any of them you like as long as you can dig the roots without damaging them too much. That would be easier with smaller ones, but try a larger one, if you like.

My advice is to make sure they get at least partial shade wherever you put them. I killed one here by planting it in too much sun (zone 7a).
