No , It stayed 'as black as the blacker black' .I snipped the very last bloom early today[on the extreme left] , for the fridge.,Its been a stressing / energy sapping day.,., massive fires nearby, lots of heat and smoke, has just made it a bit harder to breathe Thumbs down ,.,masses of lilium blooms Im trying to save,..,.[cant be god!],..

At Burnie I learned that not all Lankon are identical - it displays lighter and darker variations. I guess it went into commerce as a strain, or at least three different clonal variants from the cross? Confused Will post some pictures in the Burnie show thread.

Different clone variants, I would think. The original cross to get Lankon is far far far too wide (and thus too genetically diverse) to ever become a strain, where every seed grown plant is almost the same. (Working with logic, here, not experience.) Way to early since its debut to have possibly developed a strain, too.

No,,, but at least I have another ''MYRIAD'' of types here, to keep me occupied,..Grenadier certainly is a fertile baby!! I have a mountain of seeds from it and others-Van Deiman Catalogue out at the end of the week Hurray! .. Margaret Lowrey passed away,early in the week I tip my hat to you. .

I have Lankon and Black Spider out[Winter Flowering]....beautiful smell from Lankon, a bit like Ginger Lilies. Made a good sale yesterday, no doubt , this customer will return in Summer..Hoping to make good sales Saturday at the Claremont Girl Guides sale..and of course, buy a sausage with onion and a packet of GG biscuits! Thumbs up
