Garden Valley Ranch is featured on pages 144-145 of the current (May 2011) edition of Martha Stewart Living. The item includes pictures of owner Mark Grim, flanked by two nursery visitors, and GVR manager (and valued Rose Cubit member) Fallon Anderson, showing off her gorgeous rose tattoo.

Am I mistaken, or has this thread been purged of negative comments about GVR? I seem to remember complaining mildly about the state of the roses I got from them.

I'm glad to hear that GVR is in the news. While it will probably be a while until I order from them, I do know that the place itself is full of charm, and there are some roses they stock that are hard to find elsewhere - Papa Meilland and Brass Band, for example.

BTW. Does the GVR site tell us which roses ship on fortuniana rootstock. I would definitely find that helpful.
