Hi--I was given this plant with no ID. I want to give it the right light/watering/fertilizer culture, but am too ignorant to know what it is! I'm sure the gurus on this forum can tell immediately what it is! Thanks in advance. Smiling

Hi, Emily. Your plant is called a Chinese Evergreen. Here is a link that explains how to take care of it.

Oh thank you, Donna! I am thrilled to have definitive information about my new plant. I'm so glad to know that it can deal with low light and relatively dry air--I have the perfect place for it in my bedroom, where I can benefit from its important "air-cleaning" characteristics. If you hadn't sent me the informative link, I wouldn't have known that it does NOT like cold drafts and it does like moist soil.
Thank you so much.

I have a newer hybrid version of this, it is dark green and where the whiter color is on yours, mine is a splotchy pink. It's name is: AGLAONEMA AUN YA MANEE.

Here is a picture of it. I just brought it to my office today.
