Penny's Worth is blooming today! Darn thing... Foliage has gone all brown and dormant, but a rebloom scape is just starting. She is small... But mighty!

We still have some blooms also. It's on some of the ones we haven't divided. Shoot come to think of it some of the ones that got divided back in September are sending up scapes. I haven't taken any photos because I've been way to busy (raising my 5 yr old granddaughter now on top of everything else I do Blinking ) and I usually break the scapes off if I see it.

LILLIAN'S SWEET THANG has been blooming since May and has blooms now with another scape coming up. It's in my show bed so I just leave those scapes alone. I haven't taken a photo lately but here's one I took last year. I have some from this year, but this one is my fav.

Very pretty, Michelle. And here is a hug for you. Group hug My sister is raising grandkids, too, and I help her at least financially, so I can sympathize with your added stress (which, no matter how much you love them, is naturally going to be there and be tough on you).

Linda - I do get several late blooms each year, sometimes its new arrivals and sometimes just a confused daylily.

Thanks Juli!

Steph - We don't get anything very cold until the last of December so i treat the daylilies like spring to get a good start for the bloom season.

Michele - that is a nice bloom..I don’t grow many Diploids if I did that would be one to consider.

Here's a photo of her with her first seedlings (you will probably have to click the photo to be able to see the seedlings) and then one with her Grandma Kim.

She will probably get something good from the seedlings since I have no idea the cross Rolling on the floor laughing She always likes to open the pods and get the seeds out for me and this was just a late pod (maybe a bee pod Shrug! ) that I picked for her and didn't look and see what it came from; I didn't think she would actually want to plant them Whistling

Susan, yes she has blue eyes. She always wants to come help at the garden. I let her sometimes, but of course like most 5 year old their attention span is only so long and then she wants to play in the sand pile or something. As she gets older I will let her help more and more.
