Have any of you tried roses from them? They seem to have quite a large list. Just wondering.

I love this nursery, Tom. I have four or five roses from Appalachian that are growing happily without any problems. Unfortunately, the nursery doesn't ship roses to California, so I've always had to work around that by having the roses sent to another state and then forwarded to me.

The owner is friendly and helpful and he carries some roses that you won't find anywhere else.

Here's a link to the nursery:

I've purchased from them with very good luck. The owner is great to chat with and he has very thorough responses to emails. He has a good selection of some roses that are "off the beaten path" too. I did find that some of his look a little weary after shipment, but they recuperate quickly as the root systems are quite strong. You also are much closer to him geographically, so your order wouldn't take as long in shipment as all of mine do. I think you'll be pleased if you order from them.

HTH!
