Well, after seeing Bees Knees a couple of days ago, I decided to gander around & see what kind of trouble I could get myself into. I saw on HMF that RU had them, but when I went to RU's website, they didn't have it available. So, I checked out this website called "John's Miniature Roses" (http://www.johnsminiatureroses...). Wow, great selection (not as good as Nor'East, but since they went the way of the dodo bird, oh well). Decent prices, decent shipping costs, so I ordered Bees Knees.

Oops.

And, since it's almost against the law to order just 1 rose, I got some friends for Bees Knees. I ended up ordering Rosy Dawn, Ernie (yes, I *have* to get a mauve in there), and Rise n Shine.

John's Miniatures has good ratings on DG's WatchDog, so hopefully I did OK. Ended up being like $10/rose, which is not too far off what I'd be paying in a store (miniatures at big boxes range from $4.99-$8.99 and nurseries usually sell them from $6.99-$14.99).

Yay! Smiling

Let us know how you did with your above purchase. I have been wanting to buy from them but keep putting it asside in favor of Austins, LFCL's, etc.

They have such a good selection and they do look good on the WatchDog......

John's Miniature Roses sends out really nice plants, Toni and Terri. I've ordered from them several times. I was wary of them at first, because they're an arm of Heirloom, a nursery I don't like at all, but Heirloom's flaws don't seem to extend to their mini-rose department. So far, I've never received a mislabeled mini from them, and the plants are a decent size, comparable to the ones we used to get from Nor'East.

damn. Just got a notification from Heirloom (which confuz'd me for a second) that Rosy Dawn & Rise n Shine will be shipped in June. 2 months after I requested (I requested April). Should I contact them and tell 'em to forget it?

Thanks, Zuzu. I think I want a few minies in the fall. Unless there is a fabulous sale sooner!
