I don't know if this is a woodpecker or a roadrunner.
He will be guarding this bare hosta bed all winter.
It is made of railroad spikes welded together and
was a gift from a friend for Christmas several years ago.

Hilarious! He's had one remedial paint job in the last 10 years. I
really should wash him a give him a coat of wax for the winter
and he would look better for the spring.
