I was reading the small print on their website, well not that small but it said if you spend at least $150. they will give you a new introduction as a bonus plant!

I got some real good bloomers for my garden and I liked the prices on these, for instance COSMIC KALEIDOSCOPE was $35. for a double fan and that is the best price around. Also got BOTTLE ROCKET, WALKING IN BEAUTY, SWEET APRICOT HONEY, JADE GLOW, MAGNIFICENT MAGPIE, & STONE ISLAND.

I love the plants I get from Floyd Cove -- beautiful large double or triple fans usually. It's so worth it to spend a bit more for that quality of plant, IMHO. I do love to purchase new introductions from the hybridizers! I just wish I was a little richer... THEN I could really have some fun! This year's Floyd Cove order is the largest I've ever done, and now that I'm back to being able to digest my food again I have no regrets. But unfortunately there won't be any other biggies for me this time around. I also bit the bullet and ordered Faye Shooter's SECRET FAMILY RECIPE, so that pretty much wipes me out except for the occasional Lily Auction purchase, I'm afraid...

Betty you have some great plants coming. I hope they are as nice as they look. I left a message Thursday for Karen to call me, but no one has returned my call yet. I wonder if they are that far behind returning calls.

Ann, if you still haven't heard from one of them by tomorrow you might get better results if you email. I emailed them on Thursday, I think, that I had snail mailed in my order and said I hoped I could get them all, and she responded affirmatively yesterday. Guy had responded via email earlier in the week when I asked about ordering that he recommended I go ahead and send in my order, and he said that things are totally chaotic right now. I wasn't sure if they wanted 2013 orders already, but he said to go ahead. And I'm sure glad I did, because if I remember correctly some of them said "very limited."

I'm looking at their site as well. They have so many goodies.
I've already spent a bunch, but I may get some of their less pricey ones, or
maybe just one or two of the more expensive ones. Decisions, decisions.

I got some less pricey ones! I was comparing prices and do you know that SWEET APRICOT HONEY is listed on Sterritt's for 100.00 and on Floyd Cove it is just $25.00. Also they had 'Cosmic Kaleidoscope' listed for $115.00 and I got it from FC for 35.00, Ann told me about it because she knew I wanted that one real bad.

That's fantastic, Ann! I wonder when they'll start posting their "sold out" daylilies. There are still a couple I would like to get, but I'd like to wait two or three months (paying down ye olde credit card!), and hopefully they won't be sold out of those varieties by then.

Susan, I've gotten some really fantastic daylilies by doing the price comparison thing with the hybridizers. I hop around between Floyd Cove, the Trimmers (Water Mill Gardens), Bell's Daylilies, Marietta, and later in the year Maryott's to look for the best price on a particular daylily I want -- and I'm sure I've forgotten one or two other nurseries. The ones I've mentioned have a General Price List where they sell daylilies by other hybridizers as well as their own. And I usually get at least a double fan when I do this, which is really important to me. I remember two years ago I got BASS GIBSON from Floyd Cove (triple fan!) for $125, and on the Lily Auction it was selling for more than that for a single fan. So great bargains can be had if you search for them, but you have to do it early before they start selling out. And I see you've already ordered some really good ones from them. Is this your first order from Floyd Cove?

I only ordered Stenciled Di Fresco and Volaris from the fall.

Holy Moley! I just checked for a daylily on the Floyd Cove website and discovered that they already have over 50 daylilies in their "Sold Out' list!
