Seems so unlike my Opuntia, now a chapter on language and semantics seems to have started. I thought round, oblong and oval were statements of facts how does semantics enter?

Sorry to have offended with that. It isn't pleasant to be laughed at in a public forum. All I meant was to look at the link that defined "monstrose" and see if it meant the same thing to you. A monstrose form of a plant is very different than the definition of round, oblong and oval. I suppose I should have made that clearer.

I am not laughing at you Tee forgive any hard feelings , I am laughing at myself. I don't know about language and semantics but I do know ambiguity. A sentence can have several meanings and same way words can to. That's why I put words in brackets sometimes when I feel that there is more then one meaning. Its that monster word that's all.
