Hi Everyone,

If you are entering a new variety of petunia or calibrachoa into the database, please note:
Do NOT use the Series field. Include the Series Name in the "Cultivar" and/or Tradename
The hundreds of different series out there all use colours as the cultivar/variety name. This is the only way to keep the unique data info per variety. You may have noticed that almost every series of Petunia has "Red". Dreams Red, Madness Red, Suncatcher Red etc. All of these are unique varieties, and you will need to have the Series name in the Cultivar name field.

For all petunias and calibrachoa, please leave the "Series" field blank

Primary common name: "Floribunda Petunia" (example)
Genus: "Petunia" (all Petunias)

Also: Please do not enter a "Mix" as a variety. Many Series have numerous named mixes. These mixes can be noted in the Comments for the varieties that are in the specific mix. Example: Check Dreams Appleblossom Petunia
Species: "x hybrida" (99.9% of the varieties you are entering)
Cultivar; "Series + Variety" (example Madness Red Picotee)
Tradename: Series ® ™ © + Variety (example Madness® Red Picotee)

Go to "Edit Data" to enter specifics like plant height and width

Thanks
Joanne
